THE PERFECT VEGAN LEATHER JACKET EXISTS... BUT I CAN'T FIND IT

We all dream about it, but rarely are we lucky enough to actually find it. 

The perfect leather jacket. 

We can picture it in our minds, and even may come across it on Pinterest, but it seems impossible to actually source either online or instore. And if we do happen upon it, by some sort of cruel miracle, it's far outwith a students budget. 

My 21st birthday is fast approaching (7 weeks, that makes me the 7th January for those who need to buy a card), and as this is my one chance to utilise the fact that other people are paying, I'm determined to find my one true love - a distressed, black, vegan leather biker jacket. 

This is first-world problems at it's very best. So if anyone happens to come across my perfect leather, let a gal know.

FRANKENSTYLES FREAKY TIPS

Hold up! Put those token fluffy socks you get every year for Christmas back in the drawer and step away from the rubbish bin! They come in handy I swear... 

You know that horrible moment when you find the perfect pair of sandals but it feels like they're strangling your feet?! This is where those socks are a god send. All you need is;

| 2/3 pairs of thick socks | A hair dryer | Those dastardly tight shoes 

The first step is to pop on the socks, then try and squeeze your feet into your chosen pair of shoes. Once you've got them on, turn on the hairdryer and hold it against the tightest areas. Keep it like this for 5-10 minutes, constantly wiggling and stretching your feet to ease the fabric a little bit more. Wear the shoes around the house while they cool and then, like magic, your feet should easily slip in and feel far more comfortable. If they aren't quite stretched enough (or if your shoe is made out of thicker material) then repeat the process until the desired width is achieved.

Since Autumn is sneaking up on us at an increasing speed (yay!!), I'm taking the opportunity to stock up on everything cosy and fall-hued that my bank balance can handle. First up on my wishlist was this £14.99 H&M wool hat, that also comes in black if you're wary of the Raiders of the Lost Ark look.

ALL WHITE EVERYTHING? NOT SO MUCH

As I'm writing this, I have already spilled diet coke on my trousers which happens on a daily basis (trousers aren't always the victim though, sometimes it dribbles down my chin and my poor top gets the brunt of fizzy goodness... nice ay??). However, I have a dream. To be one of those females you see (very rarely) on the street or on pinterest, gliding around looking like the height of sophistication in all white, with not even a tiny hint of dribbled diet coke in sight. In a bid to become one of these females, I've bravely purchased some stark white items, the dress I then got dirty within 10 minutes of getting and 3 washes later I've finally got clean. This isn't looking too good. Maybe I'll just carry around a bottle of tip-ex for emergencies. 

The waffle bra dress is £25 from Miss Selfridge, which you can buy here and the duster jacket was £17 from Primark. I would put a link to an online store where you can buy it, but they are currently living in the 90's and still don't have one (wazzup with that?!???).

HI FRANKENBABIES

To date, this may be my 175th blog, but I’m determined to stick this one out. I have a witty name (Frankenstyle.. like Frankenstein… geddit??) and unlike my last blog which was a uni task, this is of my own doing and I can post whatever my heart desires, this may include cats just to warn you. Anyway, time for the introductions. I’m Steff, a 20 year old fashion student from the Granite City. That’s glorious (insert sarcastic facial expression here) Aberdeen, Scotland if you didn’t know. That’s me over there ---> when I fake deadlocked my hair... I have a lot of spare time.
