IT'S CALLED FASHUN DARLING

Another year, another MET gala that reminds me just how ridiculous fashuun can be. Predominantly Sarah Jessica Parker. Again. But alas, what would Twitter people do without the infamous post-MET ball memes to distract themselves from their tedious office jobs? (Sorry SJP, Rihanna... you guys really got the brunt of it this time)

Can someone tell me why Kris Jenner was invited in the first place.

ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING A CHAP CAN UNLOAD, IS SOLD OFF THE BARROW IN PORTOBELLO ROAD

I got seriously lucky with my flat in Landan and ended up living right behind Portobello Market. Now, when attempting to get myself an Easter Egg from my local Tesco (which is on Portobello Road) on a tourist-filled Saturday, this proves to be a serious task that only the strong willed could survive. However, on a sunny and warm Monday it is very pleasant. There's still the odd group of Italian tourists, and the main stalls of the market go into hibernation until the weekend, but most of the shops on the street are still open and you can rummage around everything from the above jewellery stores to shops dedicated to vintage sporting equipment.

So if, like me, crowds and slow-walkers give you permanent bitch face, I seriously recommend taking to Portobello Road on a weekday.

LONDON CALLING

It has now sadly come to the time in my life where I need to put on my Big Girl Pants and be a grown-up (just for 3 months but thats 3 months of doing grown up things none-the-less). I was given the opportunity to intern with amazing jewellery brand Allumer in London as part of my Uni coursework so jumped at the chance. This is however, my first time living away from home and living away from my mum who cooks, cleans and generally just does everything I need (love ya Pat). But... ready for it? I HAVE SURVIVED FOR A WHOLE WEEK. I AM AN INDEPENDANT WOMAN.

I've got a cute little studio apartment in Notting Hill, which has Portobello Road Market right on it's doorstep. Goodbye already non-existent bank account. I'm getting the tube everyday (Hammersmith and City >> Jubilee WADDUP) and I've gotta tell you, I have the whole London commuter, dead behind the eyes thing nailed.
